  1. How do food trucks receive catering leads?

    You need to have an FTS account in order to receive any catering leads or use our other free services.

    We will contact you through the email address you provided when you signed up. We will provide all the catering job details there.

    We may also call you to follow up on any leads we send you. Also when you accept the lead, we will be in touch before and after the event to make sure everything went smoothly.

  2. When and how do food trucks get paid?

    Food Truck Stars will pay food truck vendors on the 15th and last day of each month for all collected sales within the previously tracked half-month period. For example: the pay date for May 1st through May 15th will be on or by June 1st. While the pay date for May 16th through May 31st will be on or by June 15th.

    Food Truck Stars will direct deposit your payment into your bank account.

  3. Do we need to pay anything to join Food Truck Stars?

    Nope! It is completely free and easy to use!

  4. What's your cancellation policy for catering events?

    If you need to cancel your participation in a catering event, you must let us know at least 1 week before the event date. If you fail to do so, you may be held liable for any expenses or losses incurred. If you cancel on multiple events, you may be dropped from our catering program. Please refer to our Terms of Service for complete details.

  5. What is Food Truck Stars and what do you do?

    We are a team of food truck enthusiasts with the passion to enhance the food truck industry. We are based right here in Boston and our office is located at 8 Ashburton Place, Boston MA.

    We provide food truck owners the ability to create and manage their online presence through a Food Truck Stars account. There, they can build their menu, schedule, promotions, and integrate their social media. Customer using Food Truck Stars can search, locate, and (soon) order from trucks. We also provide revenue generating catering leads as well as analytics data.

  6. How are you different from other (similar) service providers?

    We focus on providing powerful tools by utilizing the latest technologies. We work directly with food trucks to build the tools that they want most. We also focus on having accurate and up-to-date data. Instead of crawling the web to put trucks into our database, we rely on the trucks themselves to create their accounts. This ownership of data places the ownace on the food truck to keep their information updated; so users know it's as up-to-date and accurate as possible.

  7. Can I update my prices and information whenever I want?

    Yes -and we encourage that you do. You can update your schedule, locations, and menu at any time. Having an accurate and up-to-date profile will help keep your customers happy so there are no surprises when they drop by.
